We all know that healthy eating has a vital role in our lives. Despite the age, it’s one of the best ways to improve our health. However, we do not always have enough time to eat and moreover to prepare our meals. But it doesn’t need to be that hard! Here is the proof!

In collaboration with Gaia Bio, we prepared an easy and quick to prepare a menu that is at the same time balanced and of course delicious!

No need to eat another fast food during the lunch break! Just prepare it quickly at home and take it to work, college or even picnic (yes, we miss spring so much).

Gaia Bio is our recent discovery. The whole range of products allows us to shorten the preparation time of our meals. By testing the food, we had fun inventing meals and mixing tastes.

Gaia offers lactose-free and gluten-free products that are also vegan. Gaia offers products made with grains and cereals rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals. However, what we like the most is a selection of raw products. Raw food enthusiasts say it’s a promise of longevity. Raw means unrefined and non-industrialized. The idea is that heating food destroys its nutrients and natural enzymes, which is bad because enzymes boost digestion and fight chronic disease. In short: When you cook it, you kill it. This is why at Gaia Bio all seeds and nuts (pre) germinated are dehydrated below 42 ° C.

As you already know, we always support the brands respecting human beings and the planet. And this is the case of Gaia who, in addition, supports the fair trade by popularizing the fonio. This small, fine grain cereal comes from Africa where it’s been grown since 5,000 BC.

Breakfast with Crousti Cru

In order to be in a good shape all day, you should never skip your breakfast. It’s the first meal that brings our body all the energy it needs and all the necessary benefits. We start the day by taking a glass of water with a slice of lemon and fresh ginger. We quickly fell in love with Crousti Cru! It’s a mix of dehydrated sprouted seeds, pre-germinated nuts and dried fruits that ideally accompany soy yogurt and a few slices of pear and pomegranate seeds.

Fonio for a quick lunch

Cereals grains are always a good idea for a quick lunch. Once cooked, they will taste perfectly with raw vegetables or cooked on steam. We mixed the fonio with green beans, mushrooms and onions and grated beets. You can also add some fried tofu for more calories. It’s simple, cheap and delicious.

Burger for dinner

For the dinner, we serve the burgers, of course way much healthier than the fast food version. As a burger bun, we used Gaia gluten-free galettes made from sprouted wheat, mushrooms, and oatmeal. The buns can be eaten in many ways despite your preferences, raw, cooked or fried.

And here is the recipe for burgers (to replace the meat), the version with beetroots:

2 glasses of rapped beetroot

One small onion

2 glasses of cooked fonio

½ glass of sunflower seeds

2 tablespoons of buckwheat flour

2 tablespoons of the vegetable oil

2 tablespoons of soy sauce

Parsley, coriander, salt, pepper

Preheat oven to 200 degrees, mix all ingredients to obtain a sticky dough. Then form the burgers shape and put them on the baking dish Bake for about 20 minutes then turn them over and leave in the oven for another 5 to 8 minutes.

Do not hesitate to add your favorite accompaniments: salad, tomatoes, cucumber etc. …

On the photo below we present you a quick version of “beetroot burger”. We used the Gaia Bun, spinach, and beetroots.

Healthy snacks

We never say no to healthy snacks. But we avoid the fat chips and we replace them with the crunchy version Les craquants du cru made with seeds and oleaginous (pre) germinated, vegetables and fresh herbs from the Gaia range of course.

We make also a little spinach salsa (you have to mix the raw spinach with tofu, salt, and pepper and it’s ready). That’s it easy and delicious!
