Aloe vera, the universal panacea

Ever since I can remember there has been an Aloe vera plant at my home. In every room, there was a pot with this precious plant that in principle doesn’t require any care. Wounds, blisters, eczema, burns, zits… I could count endlessly what we used to use it for. Even as a teenager, I would grab it instinctively and carefully remove the skin from the flesh before use, because this part in aloe is the most precious! Although nowadays on the market we have plenty of aloe vera products, I still keep the plant “just in case”.

Miracle plant

Aloe is a succulent, plants that have adapted to live under limited water availability. It comes from Madagascar, but due to the fact that it’s not very demanding it’s been cultivated all over the world and occurs in many varieties. Aloe has characteristic stiff leaves with serrated edges, where the precious flesh is hidden. It contains valuable ingredients such as vitamins A, C, E, K and B, potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, chromium, organic acids (cinnamon, amber), polysaccharides, glycoproteins and biogenic stimulators.

With such wonderful ingredients, Aloe has many medicinal properties and can be used externally, locally on the skin as well as internally as a drink.

Allez, on verra

Allez on verra is a French intermediary and distributor of Forever Living products.  What distinguish it among other aloe products is their naturalness thanks to the patent for stabilizing the flesh: the addition of vitamins C and E to preserve all the precious natural compounds found in the plant.  Aloe Vera is grown in Mexico, where climate conditions like the sun and the ground are favourable for farming. Aloe Vera leaves are hand-cut without any machines, in order to avoid possible damage. And what’s the most important, Forever Living products aren’t tested on animals.  Among the vast range of products, we will find products for face, body and hair care, essential oils, perfumes, as well as drinks such as aloe juice and supplements.

In collaboration with Allez on verra, we had the pleasure to test two products: Forever Bright toothgel and Aloe Vera gel.

Aloe Vera Toothgel

It’s very interesting product primarily due to the absence of fluoride, what is rather rare in toothpaste. It contains aloe flesh, peppermint oil, allowing to keep fresh breath and propolis to prevent infections and inflammation. It’s dark green and much thicker than traditional toothpaste, making it last for way much longer.  At the first use, its in the same time herbal and smoky taste can be a bit deterrent. However, the effects are visible after first use – little discolouration disappears and we have a feeling of pleasant, minty breath.

Above all of this, Forever Bright Toothgel was voted #1 toothpaste in 1999 by Reader’s Digest!

Forever Aloe Vera Gel

This liquid product is an excellent diet supplement. It has many uses besides daily drinking it can be added to creams, masks or hair conditioners.

It’s advised to drink aloe gel daily, preferably on an empty stomach and wait 15 minutes before taking any hot liquids or food. The recommended daily dose is 90 ml. The product tastes quite bitter but it’s because it’s as close to the real thing as you can get. The first effects such as maintaining a healthy digestive system, cleansing, improving the condition of hair, skin and nails can be noticed after a month.

Don’t hesitate to treat yourself with Aloe vera products! You won’t regret it!
